Abstract: According to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, in 2015, the power of the Solar Energy Generating Systems installed around the world was circa 229 GW, with a total generation of 254Th. However, the solar energy generator groups in Brazil generate 51 MW. In the same year, the Development of the distributed Electric Energy Program was launched, encouraging energy generation by the consumers themselves through renewable sources. Since 2014, the National Agency of Electric Energy (ANEEL) have been launching public calls with the objective of selecting projects for the installation of solar energy central generators in federal universities. In this concept, this current work brings a project of a system of solar fotovoltaic generation connected to the grid for Federal University of Amazonas, including sizing, installation cost and economic viability analysis. This viability study is necessary to provide a technical report of the time of initial investment and estimation of energy generation for a period of 15 years.
